I can't even begin to tell you how badly I yearn for these cute Charlotte Olympia pumps! Forget the ballet pumps, these have definitely become the new classic pump, which've become a celebrity favourite, with the likes of Alexa Chung, Katy Perry (of course) and Sarah Jessica Parker. Too bad they're over £400.... ;(

But hey, look what I found!

Favourites from Paul and Joe A/W 12

My favourites from the A/W 12 collection, this set has got everything I'm obsessing over right now, gently curled hair, soft make up, delicate blouses mixed with feminine tuxedos. Parfait!

Elie Saab Couture Spring 2012 Collection favourites

The cut of the material around the plunging neckline makes this dress sexy and daring, but keeping it classy at the same time. That, with the bow belt, this dress further emphasises the waistline making this look suitable for most body shapes.

What I love about this, and the one above, is how the detailing kind of fades towards the neck/chest area of the dress. These two dresses are pretty much the same design expect one has sleeves and the other cuts off at the shoulders, which makes this design versatile.

PERFECT shade of green!

A more playful, everyday kind of dress design, this one is probably my favourite one out of the whole collection. This champagne/beige colour means that the make up possibilities are endless; one could go with a dark brown smokey eye look, or minimalist as done here in the show. However for the I think regardless of the eye make up looks, the lips should stay nude in order to compliment the dress colour.

On a final note, Elie Saab's choice of pastel colours makes this collection very on trend.

Golden Globes 2012

As I was browsing pictures of what celebrities wore to the Golden Globes, there were two mutual themes going on. The first obvious one was;

Nude dresses
Here are my favourites;

Heidi Klum
Nicole Kidman
Julie Bowen
Kristen Wiig
Second one was not so obvious, but I couldn't help but realise that Gucci was a popular choice amongst the actresses.

Gucci dresses

Salma Hayek
Jessica Alba
Evan Rachel Wood
I have to say my favourite out of the second theme was Jessica Alba's gown. The colour really brings out that envious glow plus the purse was a great match but not too matchy-matchy. Also the details in all three dresses are beautiful; in the merging moss green to black in Wood's dress and the the sexy golden bust which almost resembles some sort of mirror effect you'd see in contemporary art.

Some other gowns I loved;

Sharon Osbourne; A MUCH better choice but this dress caught my eye immediately out of the others, very elegant and the print is so so beautiful.

Emma Stone; The colour enhances her ivory skin tone and the interesting choice of belt clinches at the waist perfectly.

Dame Helen Mirren; The diamonte belt separates the two textures in this dress and she pulls off the plunging neckline in a very elegant manner.

Viola Davis; the maroon colour completely compliments her skin tone plus the high slit shows off her long legs and the one shoulder strap accentuates her collar bones and broad chest .  Perfect choice.
Please let me know which ones were your favourite!

Favourite Trends

I'm not much of a trend follower (or a trend setter...yet) but I've searched through all the current trends and here's the ones that I'll be filtering into my wardrobe.

Topshop - New Mod
What I love about it: The dark lipstick, I've been drawn to it for a while now. I love it because it's mysterious, it's daring, alluding, bold, BRAVE. Not something I'd normally go for, which is why it attracts me so much, I guess.

Androgyny
 What I love about it: The brogues, the white shirts, the ankle length trousers, the clean cuts and straight lines, the fresh, crisp presentation of it all. I've been trying to find ways to wear my white shirt in other ways other than with a silk scarf,  pencil skirt and blazer (i.e what I wear to school). I think I'll wear it totally buttoned up with a jumper and long skirt.

What I love about it: EVERYTHING. The prints, the deep colours, the miss matched mess, denim and leather and beige thrown together, the fringing, absolutely everything. Definetly something's I'll try to incorporate with the fringe boots I already have (seen here

And that's pretty much all the trends I like. As I said earlier, when I love a trend I'm not going to copy it totally, and I not going to wear those clothes for only that season, I'll wear it when and where I feel like.

So there you go. Feel free to share which trends you do and don't like below in the comments section!
